Worm Tea is the liquid extract captured during the process of collecting earthworm cocoons. When sprayed on plants this liquid organic supplement will keep them healthy and help suppress harmful insects.

In our own research conducted at the Kreitzer farm, we have witnessed the extraordinary ability of SGS to provide natural plant hormones which enhance root development and strengthen the corn stock. In addition, the diversity of microbial life present in VermiPod Worm Tea™ significantly suppresses disease when sprayed on corn and soybeans.

One Special Growth Soil square is packaged with worm tea. By adding the SGS to the tea, dormant microbes are activated, which brings our worm tea to life. Worm tea must have active microbial activity or it is just another liquid fertilizer. VPI’s worm tea with SGS can be used as both an organic insecticide and liquid fertilizer.

Kreitzer Farms proprietary Special Growth Soil™, consisting of a special blend of earth-worm castings and Canadian Sphagnum Peat, accelerates the germination process and gives the soil an extraordinary water holding capability. The exceptional water retention characteristic of SGS is attributed to a special formulation of organic grains which the company protects as a confidential trade secret.

As far as we know, we are the only business that can guarantee you only one species, without other species intermixed.

The exception is the Lumbricus terrestris which is not grown.  Its collected.  We are, however, the only company who does in order to collect there cocoons.
